Tafelberg Road Stroll

Date: 3 November 2010

Location: Table Mountain

Walkers: Michele & Helen

I was feeling tired and a little faint this afternoon, so instead of climbing Kloof Corner as planned, we opted for an easier walk - a stroll along Tafelberg Road. We started near the Lower Cable Station.

We followed the road's twists and turns for a couple of kilometres... gentle walking along the tarred surface of the road. Lovely open views, fresh air and the last of the afternoon sunshine = good way to end the work week.

We had more rain yesterday and the slopes are looking very green.

There might be more rain on the way too. Clouds were gathering around Devil's Peak. They look wonderful don't they?

We walked as far as the barrier, and then turned around and walked back.

Whenever I'm in Cape Town and time allows, driving along this road is one of the things I love doing. The views are stunning.
