Penguins at Boulders
Date: 15 March 2009
Location: Boulders Penguin Colony, Simon's Town
Walkers: Michele, Dorothy and Helen
From the entrance gate we strolled along the Willis Walk boardwalk that runs between the residential area and the beaches and penguin colony.
From here we gazed down to the turquoise blue sea and the big granite boulders so typical of this pretty area.
We continued on to the penguin look-out area at Foxy Beach.
There were plenty of the birds to be seen.
These are African Penguins.
They hang out in pairs. Many were nesting.
Penguins everywhere!
Once we'd seen enough penguins, we crossed the boardwalk again to get back to Boulder's Beach for a refreshing swim in the sea.
