I love this old favourite of a walk. It is a circular route of about 7km, starting and ending at the Silvermine Dam, easy walking along a jeep track for most of the way. Unfortunately there was a mountain bike event that morning so we had to dodge noisy cyclists much of the time.
We got off the path to look at the views at every opportunity.

They are spectacular! Noordhoek, Long Beach and Chapman's Peak.

Kaptein's Peak and Hout Bay.

We stopped to snack, to take photographs and soak it all in.

It was a very windy day, but hot. When we returned to the dam we swam and then picnicked in the shade. Thanks for the delicious clafoutis Claudia!
