Date: 12 April 2012
Location: Babylonstoren, near Klapmuts in the Cape Winelands
Walkers: Dorothy, Brenda and Helen
My previous visit to Babylonstoren is here.
We took a Sunday drive out to the countryside to visit this wonderful garden, my second visit. I was looking forward to seeing it in the springtime.
The labyrinth near the entrance was full of colour and lovely herby scents.
The water troughs were as calm and restful as I remembered.
Aaah, spring! The fruit trees were full of blossom.
Some vegetable beds were newly planted, others growing healthily.
Lots of fresh green leaves everywhere...
... and some colour as well.
And then there were the clivias. Lots of lots of clivias! Unfortunately they didn't photograph very well in the shade, but they were absolutely incredible. Well worth visiting the garden to see these alone.
What a beautiful place this is!
