I went down to Sea Point for a walk on the Prom today.
First time I've done this walk in weeks... lovely to see the sea and the rocks and the sand and the lawns and the plantings alongside the path again.
I noticed that sections along the route are looking very eroded. The sea is wearing away the concrete edge and rusting the railing, and also seems to be washing right over the paving and wrecking the grassy verge. I wonder if we've maybe had particularly high spring tides recently?
It is good to re-visit familiar places and my favourite views on the route.
And when I'm on my own I get to indulge in a bit of people-watching!

I see the Cape Town promenade, just like the PE one, is also in need of a bit of work. There has been a couple of very high spring tides over the last two months down this way, so I imagine that it would have washed over the side down there as well.
